The Denver Nuggets kicked off their postseason campaign with a convincing Game 1 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at Ball Arena. Nikola Jokic, the reigning NBA MVP, was once again dominant, leading the Nuggets to a 105-98 win.

Jokic finished the game with 25 points, 19 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Aaron Gordon added 23 points and 8 rebounds. For the Lakers, Anthony Davis led the way with 29 points and 11 rebounds, and LeBron James contributed 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Nuggets' win extended their winning streak over the Lakers to nine games, including five playoff meetings. The Nuggets are now one game away from taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is scheduled for Monday at Ball Arena.
